After several stellar solo appearances, guitarist/ singer Bruce Lewis brings a fresh new trio to the Kentucky Coffeetree on March 2nd. Accompanying Bruce will be ace session man and bass guitar virtuoso, Bob Bryant. Bob has just finished some recent work with star Nora Jones and perennial great Judy Collins. Drummer David White will round out the band. David works with some of Kentucky's hottest groups: Cora Lee and the Townies, The Swells, Tin Can Buddha and the Big Maracas. Bruce's repertoire encompasses a broad range of great originals and an eclectic blend of americana jazz blues and latino. A great musical reunion of master players not to be missed!

Guitarist singer/ songwriter, Bruce Lewis, is a longtime player on the world acoustic music scene. His CD Walk Down That Lonesome Fretboard, was glowingly praised by Acoustic Guitar-- especially for its innovations in bringing the uptempo flatpick style to acoustic Blues and for effectively using open tunings in Bluegrass. He has performed with such world renowned acoustic musicians as Bela Fleck, Larry Coryell and Bob Brozman.

"Lewis' music has remained a mixture of multiple roots-driven styles. You might call it jazz, were it not for the earthy tone of his playing, much of which recalls Doc Watson's trickier traditional folk variations. But there is also muscle in Lewis' music that recalls the '80's fusion albums of John Scofield." - Walter Tunis, Lexington Herald
